Therefore shall ye observe all My Statutes, and all
My judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
Leviticus, Chapter 19, verse 37.
God didn’t say to follow the rules that sound good
to us or we Selective Christians who are just following the rules that are convenient for us and leave the rest? We are to observe them all!
Here are some related passages:
*Know therefore that the LORD thy God, He is God,
the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and
keep His Commandments to a thousand generations. And repayeth them that hate Him to their
face, to destroy them: He will not be slack to him that hateth Him, He will
repay him to his face. Thou shalt
therefore keep the Commandments, and the Statutes, and the judgments, which I
command thee this day, to do them.
Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and
keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and
the mercy which He sware unto thy fathers.
Deuteronomy, Chapter 7, verses 9-12.
*But if ye will not obey the Voice of the LORD, but
rebel against the Commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be
against you, as it was against your fathers.
1 Samuel, Chapter 12, verse 15.
*The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked
and him that loveth violence His soul hateth.
Upon the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an
horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness;
His countenance doth behold the upright.
Psalm, Chapter 11, verses 5-7.
*The FOOL hath said in his heart, There is no
God. Corrupt are they, and have done
abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children
of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone: they are
altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalm, Chapter 53, verses 1-3.
*Evil pursueth sinner: but to the righteous good
shall be repaid. Proverbs, Chapter 13,
verse 21.
*A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth
himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. Proverbs, Chapter 27, verse 12.
Since this is an example of the positive influence God has made on my walk with Christ, this may not reflect the whole meaning of the Bible verses.
